ShareONE MORE ROUND.  Vote on 6/23/2012 to keep the MOMENTUM.

THANK YOU TO THE 381 VOTERS THAT SUPPORTED MY RE-ELECTION.

Little Elm has the Momentum of Positive Growth due to the major accomplishments under Mayor Platt's  guidance. Let's keep the momentum going and Re- ElectMayor Platt.

Here is our latest progress report that will give our great citizens a good idea of how much LE is growing under Mayor Platt's guidance.

Welcome to Mayor Platt's re-election  site. Mayor Charles Platt is running for re-election because he believes accountability and results are key strengths in a leader.

Mayor Platt came to Little Elm 7 years ago because he and his wife, Peggy quickly realized that Little Elm was a great place to raise their family and that he needed to volunteer and get involved.  His wife Peggy, sons Charles Jr. and Christopher are also very involved in the community with Peggy serving on the Festival Association. Charles Jr and Christopher  serving on the Police Explorer post prior to graduating and entrance into the United States Air Force. Mayor Platt believes strongly that giving back to the community is a right for all citizens and raised his family with these core values for a prosperous future.  Behind every good man is a Great Family.

Below is a brief list of accomplishments while in office for his first three years.
  • The last two years under Mayor Platt's leadership, the town's property tax rate, as it applies to operations has remained the same. This is the first time in over six years that the tax rate was not raised.
  • While holding the line on taxes, Mayor Platt was also able to maintain current services and add personnel in public safety.
  • Mayor Platt led the way in creating the town's first ever Ethics Policy for all members of the town Boards, employees, and council. By creating this policy Mayor Platt has ensured that a high level of honesty and transparency will be required of all public servants that represent our citizens.
  • Mayor Platt built up our Commercial base of Business and added over 300 local jobs by landing the first Large Grocery Store in Little Elm. Kroger Market Place and the first sit down chain restaurant in Applebee's.

You will hear from Mayor Platt's opponents  that they want to bring in commercial business, create jobs, create relationships with LEISD, build parks. What you will not hear is that Mayor Platt has already done all of these things. When you have someone as dedicated as Mayor Platt and determined to make sure Little Elm becomes a prosperous community why would anyone not understand that we finally have what Little Elm has needed for many years.
